LGBTQ+ Affirming Representation

Brooke is a member of the queer community and provides LGBTQ+-affirming family law representation. She handles same-sex divorce, parental rights, family formation, and other legal matters affecting LGBTQ+ families. Her goal is to provide respectful representation while protecting each client’s rights, relationships, and family.

Adoption, Name Changes, and Family Formation

Brooke handles adoptions, stepparent adoptions, and legal name changes. She guides clients through the required filings and court process with clear legal advice and careful preparation. She also assists transgender clients with legal name changes and works to make the process straightforward and respectful.

Brooke lives in Kent County with her wife, their dog, and two cats who run the household. When she is not in court or meeting with clients, she is usually reading, walking the Lake Michigan shoreline, or spending time with family and friends around West Michigan. That balance keeps her grounded and gives her a genuine understanding of what clients are trying to protect: their families, their homes, and their peace of mind.
